About Troop 1430

Boy Scout Troop 1430 serves the South Riding, Aldie, Arcola, and Brambleton area. We are chartered by the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department.

The troop has 90 youth members, many of whom attend Lunsford MS, Mercer MS, Willard Intermediate, Freedom HS and Champe HS, and soon Lightridge HS.

Our Favorite events are Camp Olmsted, The Camp-O-Ree, The SAR Trip, and The 50 Mile Canoe Trip.

The troop also supports the fire department by working at its annual breakfast with Santa and serving as disaster victims for mass casualty training. We also actively participate in Scouting for Food, Little River Clean Up Day and support several Eagle service projects every year.
